Sparkline Chart

A Sparkline was introduced by Edward Tufte as a very small Line Chart drawn without axes or labels. It presents the general shape of the variation in some measurement in a simple and highly condensed way. Sparklines are small enough to be embedded in a text, or several sparklines may be grouped together as elements of a small multiple. Its tiny size and the absence of axes or any labels makes it impossible for viewers to see precise values, however, sparkline charts are great at showing the big picture.
