Trendline

A Trendline is a line drawn over pivot highs or under pivot lows to show the prevailing direction of price. Trendlines are used to show direction and speed of price, and also describe patterns during periods of price contraction. Trend lines are commonly used to decide entry and exit timing when trading securities. They can also be referred to as a Dutch line, as the concept was first used in Holland.
